ahh, i wouldn’t know on tumblr, i’m sorry! even on instagram these days i wouldn’t say i’m very “bookish” because now i feel that’s all that a lot of people expect from me and i like to draw other things too. if someone recommends something good i read it haha ♥ maybe you could search the tags?

sorry if you've answered this elsewhere, I'm just a new follower and a HUGE fan of your art... what program do you use and any recommendations for someone who is moving from pencil drawing to teach herself digital art? I don't ever expect to be as good as you but I've been wanting to learn for YEARS and just don't know where to start
hihi! thanks for loving my art :D i started the same way as you. I think for beginners my recommendation would be either Clip Studio Paint for PC or Procreate for iPad. both are relatively easy to use, once you get past the learning curve. i use photoshop primarily, but it is definitely less intuitive than the other two.
you don’t need anything fancy! if you can afford it, and ipad is a great investment for procreate ($7 USD), if not, you can get a wacom bamboo tablet that connects to a laptop or PC for $50 (i used mine for about 7 years before i got a cintiq).
and please don’t say that! you will eventually find where you want to be with your art and your own voice. i admittedly even have the same thoughts as you now when i look at my favorite artists :’) and there are definitely days that art is so hard i just want to quit. but we’re all on the same path. goodluck & let me know if you have any other questions i can help with! ♥
