Entering an uber alone? Call your father (or anyone you trust) and say “hey dad! Yep, I’m almost there, I’m sending you the route.” outloud. Then proceed to send them the route so they can follow the uber drive. This will most likely intimidate the predator.
If you see someone in an uncomfortable or possibly dangerous situation, walk up to them and say “Betty, oh my god, I haven’t seen you in so long!”. If she gets slightly confused, you can whisper and let her know you’re trying to help and that she should follow along. Walk together to another station or away from where you are. The man will most likely not follow. I have done this one 2 times and can be very helpful.
If you are unsure she needs help, you can pass her a note saying something like “hey, I noticed this man beside you is making you uncomfortable. If you’d like help, fake a sneeze right now and I will come up to you and pretend we are friends.” This is a long note, but its an example. Be discrete. If she follows along, proceed with the previous tip. This is helpful when you’re in a crowded train and you notice harassment.
Help your sisters. Trust them. Trust yourself. Be safe.

While it would be horrifying regardless, this post fails to mention (although the source does) that Phi Pham is not from Vietnam. His parents were Vietnamese refugees who ended up in the Philippines, where he was born, and from there he legally emigrated to the US where he has lived the majority of his life. He is facing deportation to a country that he is not a legal citizen of, that he has never been to, and where he knows no one. He is not unique in this situation, the US government increasingly deports refugees to "countries of origin" that they have never been to.
If staff could get their heads out of their asses for two seconds and actually see the feedback they’ve been getting from their content creators for years, that would be great.

I don't ask for much as a content creator, but people who consume my work on any of my blogs need to know that this is basically a death sentence for fanwork communities of all kinds. We need to fight back against this.

Despite the fancy survey, changes to the UI and TOS reveal we’re getting the service in the future whether we want it or not. Obviously, Post+ is a terrible idea that is trying to bank revenue on user content. Unlike patreon or onlyfans, tumblr’s primary focus is on FAN content. The legality of this is NOT in the users favor and as the new tumblr TOS states, said users will be entirely liable for whatever legal matters arise.
SO WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Besides filling out the survey, it’s time to show tumblr we mean business and show our displeasure by hitting them where it hurts.
