I found about a dozen old issues of Star Trek: The Magazine on my third floor yesterday, all of which I saved because they were relevant to past!me’s interest in either Janeway/Chakotay, Voyager, or possibly Picard/Crusher.
Current!me was hoping I’d have the issue from when A Stitch in Time came out, and tonight I found out I did! (It had Chakotay on the cover or it would’ve been long gone.)

you can HEAR kirk thinking “imma respect you SO HARD” and then we see mccoy at the party with a blue necklace he’s never had before, that the cinematography directly compares to uhura’s. he looks at hers and his face goes “can’t say shit cause i climbed in the clown car after her”
that token of affection is the focus of the scene. he and uhura are in the same boat now. she’s with spock and mccoy’s with kirk.
