The concept for a collaborative business venture, which is called TRI-O Consulting, was created to enable the team to gain experience in developing collaborative innovation networks. Furthermore, the paper brings to light the value of interdisciplinary collaboration in business model development by offering an approach capable of integrating the perspectives of Design Management, the Business Model Generation Canvas (Osterwalder & Pigneur, 2010) and the concept of Collaborative Innovation Networks (Gloor, 2006). The paper explores the contributions of these disciplines, documents insights from collaborative practice, and proposes a framework for developing interdisciplinary collaborative ventures.

The venture, which is called the COINs course, was designed to enable students to learn experientially how to use the tools of dynamic social network analysis (DSNA) through a variety of projects. Collaborating across disciplines requires team members to rapidly and clearly communicate and demonstrate the value of key principles, processes, and work practices while negotiating multiple levels of complexity, knowledge cultures, skills, and capabilities. This paper explores these complexities, documents insights gained through experience, and proposes a framework for future GVT collaboration.
This exploratory research aimed to introduce a unified cultural resources framework for capturing... more This exploratory research aimed to introduce a unified cultural resources framework for capturing local perspectives on the cultural landscape. The main question asked in the study was in what ways does participatory map making contribute to better understanding of the cultural resources in local community? To address this inquiry, mixed methods approaches were used, including series of in-depth interviews, site visits, documents analysis, and mini focus group session. The research also analyzed data obtained from online survey to capture the community identity and sense of place. The outputs from the research resulted in the production of cultural inventory and a number of digital maps of perceived cultural assets. As part of a strategy for increasing the public participation in planning, a suggested framework for data partnership, and a concept design for developing web-based platform for participatory cultural mapping were also proposed.
