Wait while I’m still thinking about wedding things, I haven’t shared my favorite thing we came across while looking for wedding readings, which is THIS:

Anyway we ended up using a lightly-edited version of it as one of our seven short readings because I can’t believe that Tolkien pretty much outright said “Yeah elves have queerplatonic relationships. Here’s some cute words for platonic partners, derived from the Quenya word for love because friendships are a kind of love, too”

–And I also can’t believe I didn’t know about it until now, although admittedly these particular notes were not properly published until 2021. The Tolkien Estate was keeping queerplatonic elves from us. Queerplatonic elves!!

A cooking show where every episode, the chef gets possessed by the ghost of a random person of another era, who then proceeds to cook something that they personally enjoyed as a meal while they were alive.

It remains unclear how, regardless from the historical time and place, every single “guest star” seems to have a full understanding of what a cooking show is, and also how to operate a modern kitchen. While there is no overarching plot, different context clues heavily imply that the host chef is somehow a very easy person to possess, and there are so, so many souls from all eras of human history who would love to hop in to experience the pleasure of getting to cook one more really nice meal.

Hello i found you through your fic, ‘in case of emergency’ and i need to tell you it had me kicking my feet and stimming wildly at 3 AM. This is not to pressure you into continuing the project, more like i need you to know how cool i think your writing style is because it had me genuinely tweaking.

(I have considered drawing the Musashi throwing Tenga onto a balcony scene more than once. It was so so silly)

Ahh, thank you for the message! I had a lot of fun with the style for that fic, really trying the match the goofiness of canon! Mob Psycho is so so silly, and a lot of fic (even some of my other ones) doesn’t really lean into it which I think is a darn shame.

That one’s one the back burner right now, but I do really like a lot of the plot I’d worked out for the rest of it, so if I ever fall properly back into the Mob obsession (like if Bones ever adapts the Reigen manga …) it could still come out of retirement.

Haha, yeah, Pure of Heart is ours! Definitely one of my favorite songs that I’ve written, and it was even nominated for a Pegasus award a few years ago which was a huge honor.

Eric, who runs FilkCast, is a dear friend and plays our stuff semi-frequently, which is especially kind of him since we haven’t been able to do much music since I got sick–although I am going to TRY to work some more on it now that the wedding is over! It would be great to get a proper album out, even if it’s slow going.

It just makes me so frustrated when people go “not all aroace people are romance- and sex-repulsed! Therefore it is WRONG to say THIS aroace character is romance- and sex-repulsed even though that is how it is consistently and clearly written!” (“Therefore it is wrong to say any aroace is sex- or romance-repulsed! Don’t you know aros and aces can still have sex and romance?”)

it doesn’t come across as respect for sex-favorable aces and romance-favorable aros, it comes across as a fundamental inability to believe that anybody could actually not want sex or romance.
