EVERYTHING ERYN on Instagram: "So I’m obsessed with this renter friendly window hack💕! If you’re an OG follower you probably remember me doing this DIY last May! Well it’s been upgraded and I’m here for it!!💕. It was sooo easy to do and only $12 per window! You’ll need: 1” wood from Home Depot (measure your window for dimensions), electric tape (I used this instead of painting my borders black- keeping it renter friendly), gorilla tape or a staple gun, and black spray paint. Step 1. Line the window border with the black tape (if you have a window border). 2. Cut the wood to your window dimensions and staple (or glue) it together at the center of the cross to create a grid. Make sure they are the same distance wise. 3. Place the gorilla tape at the top + bottom of the grid. 4. Stick it o Black Tape Window Hack, Window Grids, Tape Window, Window Dimensions, Black Spray Paint, Black Tape, Black Windows, Remember Me, Renter Friendly

Hannah Joyce | Home Design & DIY on Instagram: "$30k for new windows… nope. But how about $20 for a short term fix?? First I cleaned the windows and applied a coat of sherwin williams bonding primer. I have learned over time a good primer is KEY if you don’t want the paint to scratch off. Then 2 coats of rustoleum rust stop protective enamel in flat black. I added the electrical tape to create a grid, which is one of my favorite hacks. I have used this before on a shower door, (the outside) its Bonding Primer, Window Grids, Tape Window, Design Tape, Best Primer, Georgia Homes, Home Design Diy, New Windows, Black Windows

When I added craftsman window trim to this window. I realized something was missing. Contrast!!!! AND faux mullions using black electrical tape. You heard that right. Nobody can even tell 🤫.Thinking every other window will be getting the same treatments 😍This isn’t an updated photo, the window frame needed quite a bit of touching up. I’ll add a photo of the finished product.
