This year, my Grade 4's are Big Buddies to a Grade 1/2 class. We try to meet every couple weeks, usually on Friday afternoons. Reading Buddy Activities:: 1st & 3rd graders were paired up with each other. The students talked about likes/dislikes and books or stories that were shared favorites. The students decorated their individual bodies according to their interests than glued the hands to the back of a colored rectangle of paper, glued a beige rectangle paper onto the colored piece, folded this to mimic a book, and wrote their favorite book titles or genres on the books. Hanging in both 1st & 3rd grade hallways!
