84K views · 1.1K reactions | Chia slime is a quick and easy taste safe sensory activity that your little one will love! Just combine 1 cup chia seeds with 4 cups water and soak overnight. Mix in food coloring, and you’re ready to go! You can add whatever you like that’s age appropriate for your baby or toddler to pull out of the slime! I chose color coordinating bath toys. These are great for mouthing babies!I picked green food coloring and green frogs to promote color recognition. It also kind of reminded me of a swamp or marsh where frogs might want to hang out! 🐸The sensory bin I am using is by Inspire My Play. Everything is listed in my Amazon store under “Sensory Bin”. As a pediatric occupational therapist and mom, I’ve been on the lookout for a taste-safe putty that’s easy to clean and provides great sensory play.

This recipe has become my favorite because it’s low-mess, less sticky than soaked chia seeds or oobleck, and easy to clean off hands.

The texture is amazing for heavy work, strengthening the intrinsic muscles of the hand, and offering resistance activities that support sensory regulation. I highly recommend this one!

Comment for a list of ingredients if you’d like to make sure you have everything ready to buy!
