That indicates whether those ticker symbols are ETSs or Mutual Funds. Everything on this page is an index fund. • Which row should I choose? Here is a strategy to make this work. Simple and effective.  Start by setting up a monthly investment plan of $500 into an S&P 500 index fund. A global fund will also do the trick. As long as the expense ratio is low. Then you have to invest consistently. Even in difficult periods.  That’s it. That’s all you have to do.  And by doing this, you’ll outperform most professional stock pickers. Down the line, you have to avoid emotional decisions and stick to your investment plan.
