Jessica Shaw on Instagram: "Let’s make the easiest scrunchie! 🪡🤩 (dimensions below) ✂️ Fabric: I used a scrap piece of cotton for mine. Any light to medium weight fabric would work great! (Using heavier fabric can be a little tough with the burrito method 🌯) Note: I cut my fabric 5” wide x 27” long. If you want a thinner scrunchie, make the width smaller. If you want a thiccccc scrunchie, make it wider. Adjust the length if you want it more/less gathered ☺️ 🧵 Elastic: I used .5” wide elastic. Any thin elastic would work! I cut mine 10.5” long (which worked great for me with medium thickness hair - but if you have thinner or thicker hair, make this smaller or bigger accordingly) Enjoy! #sew #sewistsofinstagram #sewistofinstagram #sewist #sewinglove #sewingtutorial #sewinghack Hair Ties Diy, Diy Hair Scrunchies, Scrunchies Diy, Scrap Fabric Crafts, Market Ideas, Sewing Tutorials Clothes, Diy Upcycle, Thicker Hair, Do It Yourself Crafts

Tammy Johal on Instagram: "Let’s make these cute reusable bowl covers! 🫶🏽✂️

I used cotton fabric for this project and 1/4” wide elastic. It’s such an easy way to create bowl covers that are an eco-friendly alternative to plastic and cling film ♻️ It’s also a great project if you’re looking to sew something small for your home that doesn’t take much time or materials! My cute blue bowl is @lecreusetuk 💙

Brogan Allard on Instagram: "It’s day 6 of Simple Sewing and I have to say I think this is my favourite one yet! 🥰 Grab your Liberty scraps to make the prettiest reusable facial cleaning pads. Use them in place of regular cotton wool pads as a more environmentally friendly option, and enjoy some beginner-friendly sewing time too! 🎉 Let me know if you plan on giving them a go 💋 . Instructions: - Cut equal size squares/ rectangles in cotton and terry towelling fabric. You can choose the dimensions to best suit you but I did 4.5” squares. - Place a cotton square right sides together with a towelling square. Sew together with a 1cm seam allowance leaving a 1inch gap to turn them out. - Once turned out, press in the remaining seam allowance with your fingers and topstitch in place. . #sewist Washcloth Sewing Projects, Facial Cleaning, Terry Towelling, Simple Sewing, Seam Allowance, Day 6, What To Make, Cotton Wool, Easy Sewing
