تنخفض نفاذية المجمّع الشمسي المستوي عند زيادة عدد أغطيته، وتتغير معدلات أدائه وفقًا لذلك. تقدم هذ... more تنخفض نفاذية المجمّع الشمسي المستوي عند زيادة عدد أغطيته، وتتغير معدلات أدائه وفقًا لذلك. تقدم هذه الورقة عملية التحقق من ذلك من خلال مجموعة من المقارنات التي تشمل كفاءة المجمع الشمسي ودرجة حرارة الماء الخارج وكميات الطاقة الحرارية المكتسبة والمفقودة من هذا المجمع عند تزويده بغطاء واحد وغطاءين وثلاثة أغطية شفافة. أجريت المحاكاة الرقمية على نظام بسيط للطاقة الشمسية لتسخين المياه المنزلية باستخدام برنامج "TRNSYS". أثبتت المحاكاة الديناميكية أن زيادة عدد الأغطية الشفافة أدى إلى انخفاض ملحوظ في الكفاءة البصرية لهذا المجمع بسبب انخفاض النفاذية. وبرغم أن هذا الإجراء قد حد من إجمالي فقد الحرارة بالإشعاع والحمل والتوصيل الحراري. إلا أنه وبشكل عام، كان هناك اتجاه مستمر لانخفاض الكفاءة الكلية نتيجة لزيادة عدد الأغطية.

In this paper an indirect evaporative cooler theoretically investigated. Because of its low cost ... more In this paper an indirect evaporative cooler theoretically investigated. Because of its low cost and low environment pollution, the indirect evaporative coolers have great potential as an alternative to conventional air conditioning in an arid hot climates such as southern of Libya where the temperature and relative humidity reach 45 º C and 20 % respectively. The present investigated system consists of cooling tower, cross unmixed heat exchanger, air blower, circulating pump, air filter, humidifier, and air duct. The main factors that affect on the temperature output of the system are presented. The affect of air conditions input to the cooling tower and air duct were clarified by solving the control equations using Matlab program. The results show that the air dry bulb temperature directly proportion to the outlet dry bulb temperature, and air input relative humidity notable proportion to the outlet dry bulb temperature. The water flow rate in the cooling tower affect on the outlet air temperature, were as it increases the outlet air temperature decreases. Also the air flow rate through the cooling tower contributes in the outlet air temperature, while the increasing in the air flow rate leads to decreasing in the outlet air temperature. Furthermore as the flow rate of the air inside the air duct increases, the outlet temperature decreases. Moreover investigation proves that the indirect evaporative cooling successfully can be used in the southern of Libya.

Some technical specifications of two models of solar pumps with two different capacities - large and small - were compared. Also compared the effect of was the productivity of the two pumps on the effectiveness of desired coverage of irrigation plans intended to palm trees and vegetables. A direct comparison was made also between the traditional pumping costs and the solar pumping of agricultural water in a particular case of a well located 500 meters from the line of conventional AC power supply. This paper presents an integrated proposal for the establishment of a new engineering ... more Abstract : This paper presents an integrated proposal for the establishment of a new engineering engineering department within the departments of the faculties of engineering at the Libyan universities to teach "Renewable Energy Engineering" with the aim of graduating specialized engineers in the three fields available in Libya namely solar, wind and biomass energy, Solar Energy Engineering. In the introduction to the paper, reference is made to the importance of developing higher education in general and engineering education, especially by opening up new horizons for university education and scientific research in one of the most important branches of engineering and technical knowledge related to energy efficiency in general and energy production from renewable sources in particular. The aim was to present the basic idea of the proposal to establish the Renewable Energy Engineering Department as one of the necessary foundations for the current global trend towards renewable sources of energy through the development of higher education in its various fields, which emphasizes the need to invest its enormous potential in Libya through high scientific preparation and It aims at producing engineering competencies for design, operation and maintenance, creating the appropriate scientific environment for conducting research and studies, providing scientific advice and transferring technology, and providing the opportunity for innovation and excellence in the field of renewable energies. Program for undergraduate study performed according to several stages, including courses in the humanities, and basic and engineering sciences, as well as specialized courses in renewable energies and specialized people such as solar thermal and PV and wind power and biomass as well as energy efficiency. As in any engineering department, students in the Renewable Energy Engineering Department will have to successfully pass all compulsory and elective courses. Then, at the conclusion of their studies, in order to obtain a bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, An engineering project to graduate on one of the renewable energy systems he studied and within the division that he specializes in and under the supervision of a specialized professor. In this context, the paper presented samples of the list of proposed scientific subjects, their chronological and substantive sequence, the distribution of their units, and the presentation of the curriculum, which took into consideration the student's scientific achievement, which qualifies him to work as an engineer in the field of renewable energies or to pursue his studies. High later as a "researcher" if he is an outstanding student. In conclusion, especially after the opening of the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Energy and Mining Engineering at the University of Sabha, the paper called upon all researchers and those responsible for the development of higher education, as well as for professors interested in renewable energies, to study this project for adoption. And improve it for the development of higher education and to raise the standard of living and the establishment of a clean environment in Libya in line with the global trend towards sustainable development.
