Hello there! I’m RaptorJules, and here’s a little synopsis of my Webcomic, Seemingly Dark.

Follow Mickey, the widower mailman as he struggles to raise his daughter with the support from his friends from the local punk rock coffee shop. Maddie’s trying to solve mysteries, John just wants to get through life, and world famous podcaster Caro is hiding secrets of their own. As if that’s not enough, Mickeys being haunted, and when he picks up the teenage hitchhiker on the outskirts of town, he may have unleashed the apocalypse!

A story of hope, filled with found family tropes and full of queer centric characters, if you’re looking for a slow burn mystery with a big dose of all things supernatural, my story will be right up your alley!

Homeless? Struggling? Bad at reading cuz you’re an undiagnosed dyslexic with head trauma? That’s ok, Sully! The library is for everyone, and full of resources, hope, (and spooky audio books!) to help you on your way.

The story I’m currently working on, Creaky, tells the story of Sully’s homeless years where he struggles to find a place for himself in the world, and he utilizes the public library for so many things, even just a safe space to feel a little less alone and invisible. He’s going to make it out alive not matter what. Punk’s not dead, it’s at the public library! It’s National Library Week and with current events stacked against them, I wanted to make a special piece to honor them.

This one is dedicated to @lesbrarians, my bestie and the person who makes my work come alive with their editing and second looks. With out them, we might not have made it this far.

Get you a partner who remembers you were a little uncomfy with too much smooching when you dated in school, and how those feelings have evolved with you now, many years later. And reminds you that no matter your level of comfort, and how that might shift day to day or moment to moment, you are enough.

Every year I do a piece of John for my birthday/ace day because he is the character that most reflects my own feelings when it comes to asexuality, and I like to explore his Grey Ace experience with an Allo partner who tries their best to understand him. This year I wanted to do something that matched the TDoV one I did last week, a reflection of their relationship through the years and how Caro has always thought he was exactly enough, forever and always in every universe. 💜🩶🤍🖤

Happy Acespec Day from your friendly neighborhood Grey-Ace author! 41 turns around the sun for me, born on this most perfect of days. Of course, i had to make my annual Ace Art of my oc Johnny O’Sullivan in all his teenage glory for this year, because I realized I have never made a piece of his younger self, and because his young version is a reflection of me in so many ways, it felt right.
