Weighing in to say:
YES, I SEE THIS ON MOBILE. HOWEVER I DO **NOT** THINK IT'S SHOWING THE ANON'S REAL IDENTITY.
The profile pictures I see next to anon asks are profile pictures that belong to other, non-anon asks in my ask box also.
Some info
- there are 14 asks in my inbox from the last ~5 days
- 9 anons, 5 logged in users
- ALL 14 show pfps, including the 9 anons
- ALL THE SHOWN PROFILE PICTURES BELONG TO THE 5 LOGGED IN USERS
I think the bug is the inbox INCORRECTLY attributing anons to neighboring, logged-in asks.
Which is still a bad bug! Considering it makes it look like a long-time follower of mine sent me a spam ask.
And is worse if, say, one of these was anon hate.
But it's NOT the anon's real identity. It's a neighboring ask asker's identity
So if you have anon hate in your inbox that looks like it's attributed to your dear friend, who sends you lovely asks all the time, it was Not them.
CONFIRMED THE BUG IS INCORRECT ATTRIBUTION.
Thanks @thepatchycat for being a test subject. As you can see the icon being attributed to this ask is NOT the patchy cat
The pictured icon belongs to @watchingforcomets who sent me a nice ask about nail polish yesterday which I have not yet answered!
If you haven’t seen the meme, it’s three photos of me showing my flapjacks to the judges and then a quote, I don’t remember saying this but apparently it’s how I talk, says “Started making it, had a breakdown, bon appétit”

How did you see that your senators assisted Booker by asking questions? I'm trying to find a list of who joined in and failing.
Someone on Bluesky linked this senate website that has what essentially amount to minutes for each day they’re in session. You’ll have to go a page or two back to find the folks who spoke up with questions during Booker’s filibuster, but it should be everyone.
For those uninterested in digging through the Senate minutes, however, I’ve done my best to put together a list. Forgive me if I managed to miss anyone though.
Arizona - Mark Kelly
California - Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff
Colorado - Michael Bennet
Connecticut - Scott Murphy and Richard Blumenthal
Delaware - Lisa Blunt Rochester and Christopher Coons
Georgia - Raphael Warnock
Hawaii - Mazie Hirono
Illinois - Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin
Maine - Angus King
Maryland - Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks
Massachusetts - Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren
Minnesota - Tina Smith and Amy Klobuchar
New Hampshire - Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan
New Jersey - Andy Kim
New Mexico - Ben Ray Luján
New York - Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer
Nevada - Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen
Oregon - Ron Wyden
Rhode Island - Sheldon Whitehouse and Jack Reed
Vermont - Peter Welch
Virginia - Mark Warner and Time Kaine
Washington - Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell
Wisconsin - Tammy BaldwinI’m definitely planning on writing my senators to thank them, and would encourage anyone whose representatives were also involved to do the same. On the one hand, the filibuster itself hasn’t materially changed anything, but on the other, it’s still a more overt act of resistance to the current state of things than we’ve been seeing thus far, and I know it’s the kind of thing I want to see more of from my representatives. I can only hope if we encourage this more aggressive stance from the Democrats, it will pay off in the long term.

hi guys so, related: I lost my tech industry income due to injury and money shifting away from AR/VR into AI.

I’m still donating proceeds from the above to charity, but I have medical expenses and am losing savings until I can support myself through commissions.
in the meantime, I also have a Ko-fi HERE. all donations will go towards medication/food/bills/general living expenses.

>Join a union
>Hear people constantly complaining that the current union leadership is super corrupt, it's all just the same ten guys making all the decisions in secret and nobody else in the union ever gets to know what's going on
>Go to the monthly union meetings that are completely open to all 1200 union members
>The only attendees are the same ten guys every month, giving detailed reports about everything that's going on
Yeah, there's a surprising amount of people who just...don't interact with the union they are in at all. At all. And then complain when shit gets voted in they didn't want.
Maybe get involved. Show up to shit. Just a thought.
This is also true of the Democratic Party btw. People are always complaining about what "The Democrats" should do, or aren't doing etc etc.
but like literally in my early 20s I started going to my local party's meetings regularly and with-in a few months they were like "hey you want to be on the committee to re-write our by-laws?" yes, yes I do thank you. "hey you want to get elected to be one of our representatives to the meetings of the state party?" why yes thank you so I got to go and debate the budget of a swing state Democratic Party.
I had to move for work not that much after that but like people I know from that have been delegates to the DNC, have elected officials come to their homes for events. Literally there's a middle aged lady I know who when Hillary Clinton decided to run for President, Hillary started with a small tour on a van, she called it her Scooby Van, and her first stop in New Hampshire, with its "first in the nation" primary was to a bakery in my home town and the person she sat with at what was her first or second official campaign stop of her run for President is a lady I know who isn't some super secret Democratic overlord or anything but a local lady who volunteers a lot.
Just the other day I got invited to meet my Senator (again) tomorrow I'm going to meet my state's governor (again) because I volunteer, if I wanted I could likely get to be a delegate to the DNC
so many organizations are open doors that people just refuse to push and then are big mad it didn't read their minds and do what you think.

Cory Booker has been talking in the senate for over 20 hours now
He’s not filibustering. He’s protesting the current administration.
For those of you from outside the US or those of you who didn’t pay attention in government class, in the US senate there’s really no limit to the amount of time a senator can speak. So sometimes if they don’t want a bill to pass they just. Don’t stop talking. To hopefully get past the deadline to vote on a bill. This is called filibustering.
Senator Cory Booker isn’t doing that. He’s disrupting “the normal business of the United States Senate for as long as I am physically able”. Just in protest. This doesn’t usually happen.
He’s less than 20 minutes away from breaking the record of the longest speech given on the senate floor
Cory Booker has officially broken Strom Thurmond’s record for longest speech on the senate floor and he’s still going
For those of you wondering what he’s been talking about this whole time, his staff wrote down a bunch of stuff for him to read like stories from people across the political spectrum opposed to what the administration is doing. He’s also been telling personal anecdotes about meeting important civil rights leaders and other democratic senators have been pausing him for “questions” but the questions have been as long as a small speech and have both served the purpose of giving him a second to sit down and updating him on the news that he’s been missing while he’s been talking.
He has yielded the floor at 25 hrs and 4 mins. His eyes are so wide they look like they’re going to bug out of his skull so I don’t blame him for stopping. He said to go out and get in some good trouble.
Addition for those unaware: Cory Booker is black. Strom Thurmond set the previous record about 70 years ago in protest of civil rights. Booker spent much of the time I was watching talking about the importance of working together for the people and the idea that it's not "left versus right but right versus wrong."
The new record speech is on the right side of history.
