Henk Wesseling

Henk Wesseling (6 August 1937 – 18 August 2018) was a Dutch historian. He was a professor emeritus of contemporary history at Leiden University. He was the rector of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study between 1995 and 2002. He was born in The Hague.

In 1988 he became member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.[1] He died in Oegstgeest, Netherlands on 18 August 2018 from Parkinson's disease, aged 81.[2]
