IonasRand

User:IonasRand was blocked as a sockpuppet of User:Ionas68224. Ionas claimed he created the account using an open proxy. In order to prevent the open proxy to be used again, it could be useful to find the IP address, check it for being an open proxy, and indef blocking if the answer was positive. - Huji reply 21:32, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DoneThe IP used for IonasRand was blocked earlier along with the user account. Checkuser was done on his newer account, User:SmallTalker1, it was blocked as an admitted open proxy and was used to create another account here. Checkuser on SmallTalker1 also came up with Ionas' known IP. -- Creol(talk) 02:07, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I also changed your message above, a little, to fix the username (SmallTalker1 rather than SmallTalk1) and to mark it as "done". - Huji reply 07:30, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal accounts targeting admins

User:Archer7 confirms that this is an unacceptable username, User:Majorly is my favorite blocking adm1n because... and User:MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM77777777777777777777777777777777 were recently created, and blocked as accounts with unacceptable usernames. I think it is one person doing all this, so I request a checkuser for these accounts, to find all other vandal accounts created by this person, and if the IP isn't shared with anyone else to block the IP for some period. - Huji reply 17:56, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done - Verified. IP does change, but the entire range has only been used for the sole purpose of creating invalid usernames (and voting against RfA/RfCU's). 43 separate accounts since August 21, 2007. - Blocked entire range for 6 months (40+ individual blocks are enough to warrant 6 months in my opinion.) -- Creol(talk) 02:36, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Follow up

Please read my comments here. It is possible that the same vandal is using open proxies, and it is possible that a harmless user is blocked because the block range is very broad (/16). I request checkuser for the IPs I mentioned on that link, to see if we can prove any of the two assumptions. - Huji reply 15:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two of the three are known Tor proxies. CU shows that all three are likely from the same computer which would tend to indicate the third is either a proxy or the true computer in question. Given its location in comparison to the block in question (different continents), It is more likely a proxy.-- Creol(talk) 16:00, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to request another check user, with the recent creation of User:Huji is gay and User:MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM7777777777777777 I want to know if they are the same user as the others. Oysterguitarist 20:28, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Two seperate IPs on the same network. One is definantly an open proxy, the other shows significant signs of being one. The computer(s) used on both IPs have matching data, but not the same as the other check. Both IPs have been blocked as open proxies. -- Creol(talk) 05:29, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to request a check on User:YOU CH3CKUSER ME, AND YOU R GAY. and User:STOP REQUESTING CH3CKUSER ON ME, YOU RETARDS!!! it seems to be the same person who keeps getting checkusered, I have a feeling if it is them they are editing from an open proxy and would like to know and if so have the proxy blocked. Oysterguitarist 13:57, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 Done -- Creol(talk) 14:35, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal user accounts

Three [possible] vandal accounts, User:Mario Benvenuti for president, User:Chris Yamla Thompson is an idiot, and User:CHRIS YAMLA THOMPSON IS A FCKING BSTARD have been simulatenously created. It is possible that it could be the same person, not to mention that they are unacceptable usernames. To check for an open proxy (also including other random vandal user accounts), I decided to leave this note to the checkusers. --§ Snake311 (T + C) 00:22, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also to mention User:Chris thinks he can ban everyone unilaterally and User:Chris Thompson is a fag because he banned Soprani. --§ Snake311 (T + C) 00:26, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
 Done: Blocked as open proxy -- Creol(talk) 05:27, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request check user for these users because they have gone to active editors pages and started new sections saying hello, I would like to know if they are the same users and if there are anymore accounts and if so to have them blocked. Oysterguitarist 23:09, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

212.120.231.130 and Hello world are from the same network (small rotating ADSL pool from Gibraltar) and likely the same person. There is no other activity from this ISP here. Hallo! used two separate IP's, one unknown (hints of spam usage though) and one a known open proxy (blocked now). -- Creol(talk) 02:23, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

! - JEW BOT - !

There have been multiple accounts similar to this one, I would like to know if there are anymore and if so have them blocked. Oysterguitarist 19:13, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've looked after that and I've already heavily blocked the relevant IP Address. Thank you, M7 19:13, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yellowcake, No Nooks

I would like to request checkuser on them because they keep vandalizing articles related to nuclear power. Oysterguitarist 21:27, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I blocked Yellowcake for vandalism, for one day, this includes all IPs he/she edited from. In other words I have dealt with it. Thanks for noticing. --Eptalon 21:40, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sock of Nikkul though i have been told by Steward Drini on IRC that this might not be the same Nikkul since there are many other Good Nikkul Accounts..This is just a precautionary measure..--Cometstyles 05:34, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Does not seem related. Same country, but different computers. Although Nikkul does seem to be talking to himself (two accounts one computer/IP combo) there does not seem to be any problem at this time there. -- Creol(talk) 06:16, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Users

Suspected socks of Jackjack. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 04:45, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done Not a match to JackJack, but was matched to another account banned as vandal only. All have been blocked indefinitely. -- Creol(talk) 04:59, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:Olic1 and 68.78.6.254

Olic1 undid a qd request from a page created by this IP address. I am wanting to see if they are the same user. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 19:35, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not that familiar with the CheckUser policy, but I'm sure this doesn't warrant a checkuser. Oysterguitarist 19:46, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not notable enough of an event then? I find it incredibly mysterious for Olic1 to come back editing right around the time that a IP user does vandalism. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 19:48, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I guess that we should just wait for a checkuser to investiagate. Oysterguitarist 19:54, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A single questionable edit does not justify a sockpuppet accusation nor need a Checkuser to verify it. -- Creol(talk) 06:37, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that then Creol. I should've read the Checkuser policy before I posted this. Razorflame (contributions) Talk 21:12, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:Liberator/RAMKOYA

RAMKOYA (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))
Reason: Check out his userpage. Ionas was the only militant communist I know who uses this site and he was recently active with Liberator.
Gwib-(talk)- 17:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This can't be a sockpuppet, The checkuser below showed that Liberator had no other accounts and Archer7 had also blocked his range. Oysterguitarist 18:24, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, Ionas68224 knows how to evade our blocks, so new sockpuppets are a possibility, although it doesn't appear to match up in this case. Thanks, Archer7 - talk 19:00, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Liberator (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · SUL · CA · checkuser (log))

Archer7 has blocked this account along with User:Liberator1 as a sockpuppet of Ionas68224, I would like to know if there are anymore accounts. Oysterguitarist 21:32, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 Done - No other accounts are shown. -- Creol(talk) 03:14, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spiderpig0001 and Sam24

Reason: I would like to request for checkuser because this user had opposed to User:Cometstyles RFA and User:Sam24 had a similar oppose to Cometstyles RFA, and I would like to know if they are the same user. Oysterguitarist 21:31, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done While I was reluctant to do the check at first given the reason for it (A single instance of two user agreeing is not enough), I took Spiderpig's comment "Checkuser will prove" as his agreeing to be checked. No direct comparison between the two users. Sam24 though is using an IP supplied by a commercial webhosting company (not an ISP) with ongoing history of creating proxy problems. -- Creol(talk) 22:44, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Further checking shows that User:Sam24 was created using an open proxy. The IP has been blocked. There is no evidence proving who created the account though. -- Creol(talk) 22:59, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ionas yet again

Reason: The username, as well as a WP:POINT warning tell me thiusis a Ionas sock. -- Spiderpig0001 Does whatever a spiderpig does! 23:54, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The two users are not the same. -- Creol(talk) 03:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BellSouth (Pennsacola) vandal

I would like to request check user because this user has gone around vandalizing some users talk pages saying they will keep vandalizing their them because they are on their backlist(see contributions), I would like to know if they have made any accounts and if so to have them blocked. Oysterguitarist 23:03, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This IP created a userpage in the name of the vandal mentioned when 70.149.208.61 vandalises -- Barliner  talk  23:09, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done Both IPs (This one, and 70.149.208.61) belong to an ADSL pool operated by the same provider around PENSACOLA (check WHOIS). Therefore it is possibly the same user; As far as I am able to tell, there are no named users editing from either address. --Eptalon 22:14, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This user also, seems to have something against JetLover. Oysterguitarist 23:26, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm honored. (: JetLover Bam! 23:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done No edits, except those mentioned; also no user accounts. --Eptalon 21:51, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another friend of jetlover -- Barliner  talk  17:11, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He shouldn't be blocked indef unless it is a open proxy. --Yegoyan 17:26, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done No edits, except those mentioned; also no user accounts; At the moment there is no reason for indef blocking. --Eptalon 21:52, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See deleted contributions,(already blocked as open proxy). Oysterguitarist 21:39, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done All edits from these ips with the exception of the 195.175.37.71 edits all originate from the same person, are from the same location and the same ISP. The exceptional IP edits are also identified from the same person using an open proxy (Usage of the proxy was tracable back to the original user). No user accounts were found for any of this. -- Creol(talk) 03:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
