Do you have trouble recognizing emotions in either yourself or other people? Do you ever find it hard to tell how you’re feeling or even to describe how you’re feeling to other people? Have you ever had trouble properly expressing your feelings? Do you have trouble recognizing what other people are feeling? How does this make life difficult for you, if it does?

I used to find this a lot harder than I do now. I used to not really comprehend that I have emotions, nor did I really comprehend that other people have emotions, until I suddenly realised otherwise one day when I was 12. Since unlocking this rather significant revelation, my emotional intelligence has become extant if substantially under par. I can identify my feelings but I must think hard about it. I can identify other people’s feelings but I must think hard about it, and this is harder than identifying my own feelings; and since it is of less immediate consequence to me I often forget to run my Identify Emotions program when it comes to other people.
