The eastern black racer is another beautiful snake found at the Preserve & Park. This photo was taken by Kenny Barnett who has done some research on the population found in the Saratoga Sandplains. They will usually flee when approached and they move fast! They hunt during the day for any small animals they can get, insects, amphibians, other snakes, small birds and mammals.
