Sophie Timms•Modern Embroidery Artist on Instagram: "Here’s how to transfer patterns the simple way➡️

Whilst still using 2 layers of fabric!

Transferring patterns this way is soooo easy, and using only one layer of fabric makes seeing through the fabric a total breeeeze when it comes to tracing.

The downside? It makes it see through for all of those ghost threads at the back of the hoop when you’re stitching!

I get over that by adding in a second blank layer of fabric behind my traced layer.

You can see from the end of this reel that the fabric is no longer see through, and stays nice and drum-tight in the hoop too!

Do you trace your patterns this way too? Let me know below!

And if you have any questions about this, be sure to pop them in the comments too!👇🏼
