Grupo Leumi, the family-run company of developer Steven Rattner, has its own in-house architects and designers thanks to 4 million square feet of projects over its 30-year existence. In fact, Rattner is Grupo Leumi’s director of architecture. But he nonetheless enlisted the services of Gensler Latin America, specifically the firm’s Costa Rica and Mexico offices, for the high-profile Hilton La Sabana, a new ground-up hotel.

The main lobby at the Mantera 5* Resort. We emphasized organic forms and natural colors that were taken in from the exterior palette outside. The main lobby of the Mantera 5* Resort at its completion phase. Birds were the main theme when creating the design concept, as the location of the resort is positioned next to a natural reserve where birds traveling to the South for the winter make a short break before embarking on a long and tiring journey.
