Hi. Uhm. I don’t know how to put this…
Long story short: I got a T-shirt gifted for my b-day, and the one that gifted it to me stole your design. (I found you with reversed image search). They just wanted to make me happy cause I’m a massive Majima stan, but weren’t aware that looking up an artwork on the internet and printing it on a shirt without permission is actually hurting artists. I deeply apologize for that! I have to educate my friends better!
So…I’m conflicted. I’m sitting here with that shirt and your really awesome art on it. And… I want to post the shirt on Twitter because I love that cute thing! … Can… I do that with crediting/tagging you properly?
I understand if you say no cause you are pissed. I know the damage is already done.
Again, I’m really sorry! 😔
There are differences in selling arts in commercial and personal use.. and if it is just for personal use then i wouldn't mind it at all. plus my yakuza drawings are one of my earliest arts and have already dated. I don’t even know if those drawings of mine would have been sold as well.
