Chris misses how things used to be with his dad and his Buck and LA and he decides to move back cause his dad is obviously not doing well and he knows that Eddie loves being a firefighter and misses his friends so he’s willing to do that for his dad,
They move back and stay with Buck, Eddie says that it’s temporary until he finds something close by but Chris is already comfortable in his old room, so Eddie takes the couch, cue jealousy scene when he finds out that Buck brought Tommy here, Buck realises that he never wants them to move out and finally it clicks, Buddie happens.
