- writing has been my full-time job for over ten years
- mostly known for fantasy
- also writes romance, horror, and psychological thrillers
- loves animals, plants, bugs, and biology in general
- draws cute / weird / deranged / funny comics sometimes
- weirdly knowledgeable about obscure and disturbing things
I used to be a very productive author who published 6-12 books every year, mostly under the name SM Reine. I wrote urban fantasy within one universe, called The Descentverse. I still do, but I also did then.
Lately I have put the Descentverse on hiatus to pursue passion projects, but you can find my popular New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Descentverse novels on my website. A lot of them are free actually.
Currently I am working on Atop the Trees, Beneath the Mountains,a looong doorstopper fantasy novel. I am serializing at least its first book on tumblr.
