Taxonomic notes
[edit]This subspecies may be distinguished as follows:
Trees to 40 m tall. Bark dark gray, breaking into longitudinal ridges and fissures and small scaly plates. Leaves stiff, curved, 8-13 cm long, dark green.(Farjon, 2010)
