There’s a little song that Vincent Price sings in The House of the Seven Gables (1940) that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about since I first watched the movie a few days ago.

His voice is absolutely enchanting, and I love how they use the song’s melody as a leitmotif throughout the movie.

When he got his big break on the London stage playing Prince Albert in Victoria Regina, a lot of it was on the basis of what goes under “special skills” on an actor’s resume. They were having trouble finding an English actor who was six feet tall and could speak German, waltz, play the piano, and sing.

I haven’t been able to find a record of what he had to play and sing in that show, but I like to imagine it was “I Dreamt I Dwelt in Marble Halls,” because it was one of Queen Victoria’s all-time favorite songs and he plays it in Dragonwyck (1946).

“I sometimes feel that I’m impersonating the dark unconscious of the whole human race. I know this sounds sick, but I love it.”

I’ve been asked multiple times, which Vincent Price films *I* personally recommend. Well… all of the above… Also, Theater of Blood…(Gif wouldn’t load)

The local quilt guild had a bunch of quilts up at B&N today, and this one was my favorite. I love the radiating lines.

We literally cannot let them start charging 80 dollars for video games 70 dollars was already outrageous 60 was pushing it. 80 fucking dollars. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND. For MARIO?!?!?!?!?

If we don’t buy it, they’ll lower the price, just like the 3DS. They make more money from 2 million people buying it at $60 than 1 million at $80
