EDGE is an acronym that labels and summarizes a pedagogy, or technique of teaching. EDGE focuses the teaching of a skill, item of knowledge, or a moral value, with an emphasis on student mastery of the skills, knowledge, or values being taught. EDGE stands for: E Explain, D Demonstrate, G Guide, and E Enable. Here is a summary of each step. Oddly there is very little written about it. I think mainly because the people who tend to use it, just get on with using it.
Earlier posted to Academia.edu without the second half, the second half (just 3 paged) exhibits materials from the wartime JIT or Job Instruction Training, within the Training within Industry Program of the war Manpower Commission. This is the basis for Lean and other forms of business training still in use.
