VIP Center
At VIP, our mission is to support and advocate for individuals impacted by interpersonal violence while engaging the University of Kentucky and the surrounding community in interpersonal violence education and prevention. We believe we all have a role to play in keeping others safe from harm.
People visit the VIP Center for the first time for many reasons. People may want to learn more about how to get involved, schedule a prevention education program, or make an appointment with a confidential advocate. Our VIP staff stands ready to serve you whether it is because you or someone you care about has experienced interpersonal violence, which might include intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking, or because you want to learn more about VIP. No matter your reason, expect to be warmly greeted and immediately connected.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month!
Join The VIP Center and others during the month of April 2025 for events to learn more, get involved, and support survivors at UK!
To kick it all off, we're giving students TWO opportunities to join Green Dot Workshops. Be sure to register on BBNvolved!
Tuesday, April 1st at 5 pm at the Learning Bar, free pizza and mocktails.
Wednesday, April 2nd at 11:30 am at GSC Rm. 375, free snacks, and Green Dot swag!
Tuesday, April 15th at noon in GSC Rm. 375 will be the Green Dot workshop for UK staff and faculty. To register, email us at vipcenter@uky.edu
Monday, April 14th, from 1 pm to 3 pm, at GSC Barker Plaza is our annual Sexual Violence Awareness & Prevention Resource Fair. Come learn about on-campus and community resources, play games, and get free refreshments.
Friday, April 18th, 9 am to 11 am, at GSC Bookstore Starbucks Atrium It's Time to Wake Up Lex! Swing by and grab a free cup of coffee and snacks, learn more about SAAPM, supporting survivors, and participate in a Lexington-wide social media campaign to raise awareness about sexual violence.
Wednesday, April 30th ALL DAY is International Denim Day. Wear your denim to show support for survivors of sexual violence and stop by our table at GSC social stairs between 11 am and 1 pm to get Denim Day swag, have your photo taken in our photo booth, and write messages of hope to survivors.
