April

 https://www.belovedwomen.org/blog/the-power-of-a-quiet-spirit

I love Spring except for the storms. We’ve been hit by wind storms and flooding this year yet Spring  has soft delicate blossoms , the beauty of new life

i saw this little photo on a turtle page I like. I posted it on my FB

I’m a world where there is a lot of noise and people rushing it’s always good to pause and find a quiet place. I posted the link to the site where I found these words about gentle and quiet spirit at the start of my blog tonight.

Quiet

A quiet spirit is a heart that can pause, that can intentionally focus on the present, be in the moment and enjoy the simplicity of life. It’s a heart that can release control to God and surrender to Him.

A quiet spirit does not mean you just shut up and never talk. A quiet spirit is deeper than your words. You can never speak a word and your soul will be just as restless.

A quiet spirit is a mind that has nothing to prove, nothing to gain, nothing to lose. It doesn't worry about yesterday or tomorrow. It's a heart that can trust God to be God and surrender its limitations to God’s greater power.

I’ve been thinking about life and how the simple things are the most precious  This last weekend we went to our grandsons soccer game. He’s only 4 and looks so little but he had fun and so did we. Baby brother was there too!

Tomorrow is our anniversary 48 years already! I’m thankful for my husband and how he cares for me and our family.

God has been good. His mercies are new every morning.

Seasons

It’s interesting how life changes us. When I look back a long way some things remain like my enjoyment in art and writing but other things seem so different. I don’t look at life the same way as when I was a child or young adult. There’s been so many seasons of all sorts, seasons of being a young parent, seasons of health and vitality , seasons of joy but times of sorrow. There definitely have been times of struggle when I’ve learned that I have strength I never knew I had. These things also make me more sensitive to others.

I thank God for all the seasons of my life .

I feel like there are some things that have gotten a little dusty that need to be refreshed in my life.  I know that there must be a reason for the troubles I’ve experienced . I’m praying about ways to reach out to others though I tend to quite introverted. Maybe it’s through writing or art because Gods given me a love for them things .

I am thankful for the wonderful people in my life who have encouraged me in so many ways

Easter is soon coming where we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. The above pic is my children when they were children and I miss those days but there are new joys in each season of life and also a purpose.

Spring Storms

Last night was just crazy with tornado sightings in our town and surrounding areas. We don’t have a basement but we get in the center of the house and pray! Thank God nothing touched down
By the time it was safer here my daughter and her family in Kentucky were under a warning. It’s scary being concerned for loved ones but they stayed safe too!

I love these little boys so much! This is them in the hallway waiting out the storm.

I love the spring time but not the wind storms but I’m feeling thankful today!

Last day of March

Well it’s almost April. I think March actually came in like a lamb and out like a lion! That’s backwards ! Yesterday we had strong wind, rain, hail and lightning and today was too cold.

It was not a good day to be outside so we went to visit family

Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny so we’re going to take a ride to see the Spring scenery. The red bud trees are at their peak now.

I’ve always loved these trees in the Spring time. I love the Spring bursting forth with new life

Trying to catch up on blogging

Good evening friends. I thought I’d add a few pictures that make me smile. I love my little grandsons they make life sweeter.

At the moment there are some strong winds and lightning but I’m just typing from my cell phone so I can lounge on the couch. We had hail earlier. I love Spring and it’s my favorite seasons except for storms. I pray we have no tornados tonight!

It seems there’s always something happening in a big family.

My 3 young adult granddaughters just got back from a missions trip in Mexico. They helped at an orphanage where there were abused and abandoned children . They worked on making a safe place. It was very life changing for them being hands on part of this. I am so proud of them but also thankful they are safely home.

This is my ladies group from church. We had a game night and the whole room was filled with laughter.

Laughter is good medicine right? I’m so thankful for these wonderful women!

The picture above is by the farms I walk to. It’s so peaceful it’s interesting to see it different seasons, soon the crops will be started. It’s about a mile walk both ways and I’m trying to get my energy back for walking. Did good yesterday

I’m trying to work my way back into blogging.

Hope you all are doing well.

Spring Time in Southern Indiana

This is my favorite time of the year in Indiana except for the windstorms, recently we have had tornadoes in the area but we are safe and well. There was mostly trees down and some roof damages but we are ok no damage. Most important I have not heard of any loss of life’s here.

I’m still doing well my ct scan and blood work showed no evidence of desease. I feel so blessed to do the things I love like spending time with family.

I love seeing all the daffodils now. They are such a welcome sign after winter!

Daffodils symbolize rebirth, new beginnings, hope, and joy, often representing the arrival of spring and the promise of positive change due to their bright, cheerful appearance and emergence after winter.

I love the bright yellow color it’s so cheerful!

Tonight we went to see the kids, literally! Our oldest son lives in the country and has a little hobby farm. One of the goats had triplets!

Life is so amazing!

And that my friends is what’s happening in my little world!

Be blessed!
