sucks that “incel” is just like a generic insult now synonymous with “virgin” bc if people had much of an idea of what incel ideology actually entails, we could have a conversation about radical feminism being quite literally, beat for beat, incel shit for girls

radfems 🤝 incels:

  • basic, inescapable biology dooms me to be a perpetual victim of the Other (Evil) Sex
  • me and my ingroup are the primary victims of a society that is fundamentally and irreparably broken
  • 99% of people cannot be trusted and will only hurt and disappoint me, so i need to stay sequestered in insular online communities where people won’t try to gaslight me into questioning these truths
  • the outside world becomes harder and harder to bear as people won’t accept my reality, and even my once-closest friends reveal themselves to be of the Enemy
  • eventually i have to accept the fact that nothing will ever, ever change, and i will die alone and deeply unhappy

like radfems also get blackpilled. they fall down pipelines into the deepest darkest extremes of their ideology, and it’s increasingly harder to get these people to reengage with the world specifically because their ideology posits that the world is corrupted and divided into Us and Them, and that the ingroup’s victim status is biological and innate. it’s a system that lends itself naturally to doomerism and blackpilling due partially to the social isolation that comes with it. and it’s equally difficult as with incels to “break through” the isolation because these people do not want help whatsoever. they have been thoroughly conditioned to see attempts at helping as Active Victimization and further proof of the rightness of their beliefs

The rest of the queers aren’t allowed to exclude asexuals anymore; we’ve got the JK Rowling Seal of Disapproval! It’s official, we belong!

Now that’s some positive thinking right there! I love it!

the funniest thing to me personally about the sith warrior storyline in swtor, is that every companion you pick up and arguably everyone you meet is undeniably obsessed with you, for better or worse. but because the warrior is so constantly depersonalized and made into a Concept, they have no awareness of this fact. it’s like this:

sith warrior: i am a dog/weapon/motif to be wielded and nothing more

literally everyone: i’ve had the empire’s wrath for a day and a half and if anything happens to them i will kill everyone here and then myself

it is absolutely essential to have friends you can have extremely insane pervert conversations with. this is kind of what makes life worth living

okay but if you ever see a male creative who had a string of great work and then everything else he did was dogshit, go to the “personal life” part of his wikipedia and look at his relationships. you’ll either find a major tragedy he didn’t recover from (completely understandable) or, more likely, there was a woman in his life doing uncredited shit editing his stuff or contributing generally and she’s not there anymore.

I told a friend about this phenomenon in literature and he called me weeks later like, I remembered what you said about women doing uncredited work when tim burton came up. he made a string of bangers then everything else just was nowhere near as good. the timeline matches perfectly to when he was with this german visual artist (lena gieseke). he’s done some good work in collaboration, but if things were dug into I suspect we would find she did a lot more than people realise.

so yeah whenever you look around like wow women didn’t work in history, or, women aren’t auteurs, or, there just aren’t as many great female writers - societal reasons for that aside, half the time they absolutely did.

enjoying the chorus of ‘george lucas’ in the notes immensely

Anyway a good ship is one where there are people viciously arguing that it’s an unhealthy and predatory power dynamic while also violently disagreeing over who the predator is.
