Metastasis brain tumor develops multiple tumors at asymmetrical location of the human brain. MRI ... more Metastasis brain tumor develops multiple tumors at asymmetrical location of the human brain. MRI Imaging is one of the prudent mechanisms to extract the tumor regions and to map the brain for diagnosing. For the better diagnosis, one must detect the tumor accurately and need to calculate the area and volume of the tumor exactly. Here in this letter, we proposed a novel resolution enhancement technique to improve the quality of MR brain image and optimized hybrid clustering with region split and merge algorithm to detect the tumor cells from the original MR images and to estimate the tumors from different locations. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has performed superior to conventional clustering algorithms such as Fuzzy C-means (FCM), K-Means and even optimized pillar algorithm.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques are used to scan images of brain tumors. The extracte... more Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques are used to scan images of brain tumors. The extracted MRI image is sensitive to noise which limits the visibility of certain characteristics of the image. This unwanted noise can be disintegrated and curtailed from the original Image by using the non linear digital median filter. The intensification is achieved by using the combination of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and stationary wavelet transform (SWT) augmented with Bi-cubic interpolation algorithm. The quality of the resolute image is analyzed with the possible static parameters. Segmentation and clustering approaches are applied on the resultant sharpened high resolution image to estimate the tumor area. In this paper the results obtained with proposed Optimized Hybrid Clustering (OHC) algorithm is compared with the existing KMeans, Pillar K-Means and Fuzzy C-means (FCM) approaches. The tumor sensitivity and accuracy of the test parameters with the OHC approach are estimated. In-order to deliver the drug to kill the aberrant tissue the number of tumor cells are estimated against its radius .The Proposed method exhibits reliable values when compared with existing approaches.

BIST TPG (built in self test) for low power dissipation and high fault coverage presents a low ha... more BIST TPG (built in self test) for low power dissipation and high fault coverage presents a low hardware overhead test pattern generator (TPG) for scan-based built-in self-test (BIST) that can reduce switching activity in circuits under test (CUTs) during BIST and also achieve very high fault coverage with reasonable lengths of test sequences. The proposed BIST TPG decreases transitions that occur at scan inputs during scan shift operations and hence reduces switching activity in the CUT. The BIST TPG comprises of two TPG's, LT-RTPG and 3-weight WRBIST. Test patterns generated by the LT-RTPG detect easy-to-detect faults and test patterns generated by the 3-weight WRBIST detect faults that remain undetected after LT-RTPG patterns are applied. The BIST TPG does not require modification of mission logics, which can lead to performance degradation. Recently, techniques to reduce switching activity during BIST have been proposed. A straightforward solution is to reduce the speed of the test clock during scan shift operations. However, since most test application time of scan-based BIST is spent for scan shift operations, this will increase test application time by about a factor of if scan flip-flops are clocked at speed during scan shift operations. Larger reduction in switching activity is achieved in large circuits. Experimental results also show that the BIST-TPG can be implemented with low area overhead.
