unfortunately, ammar's condition in no longer salvageable by injection. the doctor has told her that ammar instead needs a cardiac catheterisation to regulate his heartbeat for the time being, until he is able to get a pacemaker

this process is extremely expensive - she needs $3750 in order to pay for this operation. as the injections are no longer needed she can add the $700 to this pool, but that is still an extremely high amount

the doctor has informed her the debris - what was translated as gunpowder - from the bombings has directly lead to deterioration of ammar's condition

ammar needs this operation done before next wednesday - this is wednesday for her, so for americans this would be next tuesday.

this means we have, as of this time of writing, now 3 days to raise this amount. please, please let's help ammar out for this

i know this is an extremely high amount, and my friends and i are not going to be able to pay this alone.

hello everyone; i'm posting this directly from the original post to make it shorter, but i thank you all once more for successfully raising this amount for ammar in such a short amount of time

ammar was able to have his operation successfully last night, and is now in intensive care to monitor him in case of any post-surgery complications

while there seems to have been no extra complications yet, unfortunately he will still need some medication to make sure he is well after this - namely, he needs painkillers and antibiotics

samah has come back and told me that it is going to cost $1263 for his post-surgery care - because she will have to pay 20% fees to get this money to her, i have it up as $1600.

not only this, but this is something ammar will need to have every week until he can get his stent, which is not possible in gaza - therefore, it is also extremely important that we focus on raising the money for their passports. samah has told me that she will now focus on raising the money for their passports at her gofundme campaign, and we will focus here for his immediate needs

therefore, i have started a new goal in order for us to raise this amount for his post-surgery care

he has already left the hospital, and now he has no painkillers or antibiotics for his post-surgery care. please, he is a baby who has just been given a surgical wound; imagine the pain he is in, and the toll all of gaza's situation has taken on his already young immune system

this is in addition to the blockage in his arteries caused by the gunpowder, smoke, & dust from the constant bombings

please, let's help ammar get his medication as quickly as possible, before any complications arise from him not getting the post-operation care he needs.

RTVS PALESTINE FUNDRAISER 2, April 11th - 13th

Beginning Friday the 11th, RTVS will be holding another 3-day weekend fundraising event for the people of Palestine.

It is a tragedy that Palestine is still enduring the same nightmarish conditions that they were this time last year. There has been little to no improvement in things as Israel continues to break ceasefires and block incoming aid as they try and continue their genocide. We would like to once again rally our community and as many others as we can reach to give what support we are able to to Palestine's people.

Like last year, the event will not be a traditional stream fundraiser, rather than pointing people at one donation point, we will be suggesting a number of different recipients for support. However, this year may be organized slightly differently than the way we did it last time; more information regarding that will be shared in the next few days once we confirm our plan. Overall, it's the same idea: all donations to Palestinians and aid groups will be tallied into our grand total for the event.
