I’m always down for something gothic, sapphic and definitely unhealthy (did I already said it’s gothic?). I really love how the line between reality and fantasy is blurred. We have Roos’s story that is clearly not objective, but we also have the psychiatrist’s report of his meeting with Roos and it’s also not subjective cause we met with a very catarsian, masculine point of view not really ready to broaden his horizons. So what’s the truth? Well…
Kinda pissed because in the french translation they changed Roos to Rose, which i wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t for the fact that Roos/Ruth clearly sounds very similar on purpose while Rose/Ruth not so much. But hey the cover is absolutely gorgeous so I let it pass.
