it all started in july of last year, just a little bit after dialtown mania swept over the yaoi hivemind. i was doing a doodle stream and the conversation went from “why do people always have ‘don’t genderbend my characters’ in their artfight permissions has anyone ever actually done that?” to me drawing bad genderbends of my ocs to “what if dialtown had the kind of fandom that made terrible genderbends” and everything spiraled from there. i thought the final canvas was so funny but didn’t know how to explain it so we decided to save it for april fools and everything spiraled from there.
