Animated continuity
Bulkhead burst in on Porter C. Powell during the grand unveiling of the new Bulkhead vehicle, in order to complain about his alternate mode being ripped off. Powell countered by pointing out that it was based on a vehicle his company had been manufacturing for years, and proceeded to twist a recording of Bulkhead to make it appear as though the Autobot was speaking positively about the vehicle.
The vehicles were soon clogging the roads, owned by families like the Witwickys and even being used by the Angry Archer to escape from Bulkhead. His getaway failed when his Bulkhead flipped and, after Bulkhead had extracted the criminal from it, it exploded as well. A quick examination by Ratchet determined that the placement of the fuel tank made the vehicle an explosive death trap.
Meanwhile Powell announced a new contest, Pimp My Bulkhead, to promote his vehicle. In a sting operation, Bulkhead was painted up to appeal to Powell's vanity and entered the competition, naturally winning. Powell was tricked into taking a highspeed ride, during which he was caught on a hidden camera admitting the Bulkhead's many flaws. He was later forced to recall all of the Bulkheads.
