Freezon

- Freezon is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Powered by the mysterious energy known as Nite-Glow, Freezon seems to have a thing for shining the light on her fellow Decepticons' interpersonal affairs.

- The Transformers Freezon (not actually named in the set, see Notes below) was available with her slightly-retooled Autobot twin Natron, in Tyco's licensed Electric Racing Set. She transforms from a functional electronic slot car based on the third generation Ford Mustang to functional electronic slot robot via a simple two-step process. Her robot mode features glow-in-the-dark plastics, as do the pieces of track with which she and Natron were packaged. She has articulation at her shoulders and neck, though the latter is mainly for the transformation process. While her movement on the track is operated via controller, she must be manually transformed between modes.

- Freezon was also available as an individually carded figure for use with any TYCO slot racing track. She was unchanged from her release in the racing set... and sold on an Autobot-branded card with Natron's art on it. And still not given an actual name.
Notes
- Freezon was not named on any of the Electric Racing Set's packaging or paperwork, apparently having been solely referred to by that name on the set's television commercial. This spelling of her name was TFWiki's best guess and was later made official in the pages of The AllSpark Almanac, which also first identified her as a female Transformer.
- Freezon's head appears to be based on the Rumble/Frenzy/Enemy design.
- Freezon's box-art (as seen at the top of the article) depicts her as a blue car rather than red. However, all of the product photography on the box is of the red toy contained within.
- "MUSTANG" is printed on Natron and Freezon's windshields in big letters, and there is no indication anywhere on the set's packaging or instructions that Tyco got the proper licensing for the Mustang from Ford, which was common practice at the time. Car companies saw toy companies using their designs as 'free advertising' and didn't bother fully licensing toys of their cars until later in the 1980's. However, the set's box uses artwork of cars that do not resemble Natron or Freezon, suggesting they wanted to avoid any further licensing.
- "Freezon" (フリーゾン Furīzon) is the name of an energy source from Diaclone. This is probably a coincidence.
