Nicole Dubuc

Nicole Dubuc (born November 6, 1978) is a television writer. She started out as a child actor, appearing in the sitcom Major Dad as Robin, one of the kids. After graduating from Yale, she began a career in children's animated television, writing a number of episodes for Kim Possible. She has since written scripts for shows such as W.I.T.C.H., Todd World, Jackie Chan Adventures, and Finley the Fire Engine. She served as story editor for season 2 of My Friends Tigger & Pooh, and is currently a trustee for the Animation Guild. As well as writing scripts (and theme song lyrics) for Transformers: Rescue Bots, she co-developed the series with Jeff Kline and Brian Hohlfeld and was story editor. She went on to create and executive produce the show's sequel series Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy, and later served as an executive producer on Transformers: EarthSpark.

  • Having Ratchet complain "I needed that!" originated in Dubuc's scripts.
  • Outside of her official Transformers work, Dubuc contributed a Rescue Bots short story entitled "Past's Present" to a 2024 Rescue Bots fanzine, set in the aftermath of an alternate version of "Bot to the Future".[2]
