Stealth Team (G1)
From Transformers Wiki
This article is about the team from Wings Universe. For the team from Prime, see Stealth Team (Prime). |
- The Stealth Team is an Elite Guard team from the Wings Universe portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Before the Great War, a crack commando unit was formed as part of the Elite Guard. These men promptly established a top secret base in the Detrona underground. Today, still wanted by the Decepticons, they survive as an Elite Guard team. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can stand talking to Sentinel, maybe you can hire the Stealth Team.
The Stealth Team, AKA the 45th division has as its members:
- Powerflash (leader)
- Tap-Out (covert specialist)
- Rumbler (mechanic)
- Sprocket (pilot)

The team received a new mission from Sentinel Major to investigate Decepticon Warlord Gutcruncher who was searching for an asteroid. Knowing that the Decepticons would require a ship, Powerflash purchased the Darklon and he and Tap-Out disguised themselves as neutrals. They successfully tricked Gutcruncher's crew, at least until after lift off, at which point they were forced to lock the Decepticons up. Unfortunately the Decepticons quickly escaped just as the ship reached the asteroid, and while Roadgrabber kept Tap-Out tied up on the ship, the other Autobots and Decepticons went exploring. They found a strange crystal and, doused by its radiation, both sides found themselves bestowed with extra power and speed, but at the cost of their ability to transform. After returning to the ship, the Stealth Team was able to successfully subdue the Decepticons and return to Cybertron with them captive. A Team Effort
The Stealth Team took part in the defense of Elite Guard headquarters when it was attacked by the Combaticons in their new combined form as Bruticus. Powerflash and Tap-Out both perished in the attack. The Coming Storm #6 Sprocket and Rumber both survived, thanks to an accidental discharge of Sprocket's weapon trapping them in an uncharted cavern under the HQ.
