You will contribute in some other way than wanting to reorganize our wiki in ways everyone else disagrees with. You will, or you will be gone. Accept that you have lost, and move on. If you do not move on, again, the bye-ness. It will happen. --ItsWalky 10:52, 8 December 2011 (EST)

Oh I most certainly will, it's just that I joined on to discuss the IDW concept (one brought up before) and the ensuing concept just kind of , sucked all the appointed "TF WIki" allotted space in my brain straight to it. While I obviously think that under our current standards IDW shouldn't be G1 (and have provided evidence of such) counter evidence has been proposed, and in the absence of any concrete exodus outside community consensus it will obviously be more productive to the wiki if I move on to other ventures. Putting debate into conetextes of "winning" and "losing" just enforces making things personal instead of about the wiki. I accept that what I thought was best for the wiki wasnt shared by enough people to warrant a change, so I'l move onto something else. No one "wins" or "looses." Being a wiki editor isn't a competition. I wont push an argument further if it is futile, especially f it would result in discipline from the wiki authorities. --Lush City 7:54, 9 December 2011 (EST)

Heat Scramble

Regarding your Heat Scramble inquiry, the approach I would suggest would be to follow the example set by our board game pages, a la the Beast Wars Transformers Mutating Card Game or Adventure Game: Defeat the Decepticons; describe the basic gameplay rules, then list the cards. --Monzo 04:28, 11 January 2012 (EST)

Go! Franchise Page Edits

Just to clarify (because I don't like people undoing my edits, and I'm sure you don't either):

- "号" is a really unlikely kanji for "gō" in this context. There are a LOT of possible kanji that fit the syllable "gō"; there's no need to mention all of them. Heck - the need to mention any of them is debatable in my opinion, but if we're mentioning any, let's limit it to the REALLY likely ones.
- While "gō" IS spelled "ごう" in kana, that's already signified through the use of "ō" instead of "o". As much as I disagree with using Hepburn romanization, that IS the standard the wiki has decided to go with. Furthermore, even if there WERE a need to clarify the spelling, doing so in kana probably doesn't help the people who might actually benefit from clarification. In this case, the clarification doesn't really add anything.

That being said, always happy to have someone else interested in Japanese running around the wiki!--BraveMax (talk) 05:42, 5 December 2013 (EST)

Gotcha. Was following along in the discussion and figured my (average) knowledge of Japanese might of been of help, I see where you're coming from here. Sorry if I deleted anything. Though I would still state that as is, the note doesn't really explain WHY it meaning "5" is right out, as I doubt the average joe knows the difference between "go" and "gou/gō" off the bat. Regardless, as I said, you have a better handle on the language than I do, so why wouldnt "号" be a likely reading ? Lush City (talk) 08:18, 13 December 2013 (EST)

No - I think you have a good point. In fact, if you were to edit it to something like "("go", meaning five, uses a short "o" vowel, whereas the "gō" in the show's title uses a long one)" that'd be just fine to me. As for my "handle" on Japanese... I dunno that I can claim that: I know nothing about your level of fluency. "号", though, means "number" or "edition". In either the title or the gestalt combined mode names, that doesn't make much sense to me. While I don't think either is actually what TakaraTomy means, "合" (merge/unite) and (to a lesser degree) "剛" (manly/strong/hard) make a lot more sense. As I said - I'm not saying you're wrong or that it's NOT what TakaraTomy is deriving "gō" from... Just that I don't see much point in trying to list every possible meaning of those two characters, and that two seems about as good a place as any to stop.--BraveMax (talk) 05:00, 15 December 2013 (EST)

I see your point. I do this a lot (Analysis of Japaneese language puns) so I gravitated to this one. I figured that kanji would be used as in "episode" or "edition" (kind like they did with Duelmastesr Episode X franchise, though that used kana)as in "The Triple Combination Episode/Saga" but then again you seem to be for not listing all the logical meanings, while I was more for looking up the kanji and listing all POSSIBLE puns, that way we cover our bases. Perhaps just hyperlink to it's wikitionry page and just let the readers see for themselves? Lush City (talk) 11:03, 15 December 2013 (EST)

Personally, I think that would be a great solution - better than listing any of the possible meanings. I'm not sure what the wiki's policy on it is, though...
"号" means "edition"... But not usually in the context you're thinking of - at least, I've never seen it used that way.
You do translation work?--BraveMax (talk) 22:45, 17 December 2013 (EST)

I write, and the comic I'm doing know his heavy on japaneese wordplay, so i did a lot of research. (Dear lord Deathstroke). Perhaps a semi-snarky list of readings bluelinked to wiktionary? (" It probably doesn't mean trench.")

I'm neutral on that. Seems like adding things that aren't really necessary, but I don't think it'd detract anything either. I think the Wiktionary link is probably the strongest part of that solution :)--BraveMax (talk) 09:10, 1 January 2014 (EST)

Animated Blackout

On Animated Blackout's page, you claimed that Bumper's voice for Blackout was based on Cop-Tur. Do you have a source for that? -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 12:04, 26 December 2015 (EST)
