San: when donkey asks shrek what his name is in th first movie, shrk hesitates before answering and doesn’t sound sure of himself when he says his name is shrek.

San: what if its not actually his name? in the third movie, he says his parents tried to eat him, it doesn’t sound like they gave him a name. what if he just made up shrek on the spot because he didn’t want to admit to donkey that he doesn’t actually have a name?
