Ang Patriarka ng Simbahan ng Silangan o Patriarka ng Silangan[1] ang patriarka o pinuno at punong obispo(na minsang tinutukoy na Katolikos(Catholicos) o pangkalahatang pinuno) ng Simbahan ng Silangan. Ang posisyong ito ay mula sa simulang mga siglo ng Kristiyanismo sa Persia at ang simbahang ito ay may iba't ibang mga pangalan kabilang ang Simbahang Nestorian, Simbahang Persian o Silangang Syrian.[2] Noong ika-16 at ika-17 siglo, ang Simbahan ay nakaranas ng sunod sunod na pagkakabahagi bahagi na humantong sa sunod sunod na mga magkakatunggaling patriarka at lipi. Ngayon, ang dalawang mga pangunahing simbahang lumitaw sa pagkakabahaging ito ang Asiryong Simbahan ng Silangan at Kaldeong Katolikong Simbahan na may sarili nitong mga patriarka na respektibong Patriarka ng Asiryong Simbahan ng Silangan at ang Patriarka ng Babilonia ng mga Kaldeo

Isaac was recognised as 'Grand Metropolitan' and Primate of the Church of the East at the Synod of Seleucia-Ctesiphon in 410. The acts of this Synod were later edited by the Patriarch Joseph (552–567) to grant him the title of Catholicos as well. This title for Patriarch Isaac in fact only came into use towards the end of the fifth century.
