Hello everyone! First of all, i would like to thank you all for supporting our work so far! However, i feel like i have to apologize for the unannounced hiatus we find ourselves in.
Going on a hiatus was something that we had always intended to do, but we had planned for it to be after the completion of act 1. The reason this hiatus happened earlier and without an announcement is due to a variety of IRL things changing in our personal lives that took priority, which i will not be going into the details of here.
However, i want to stress that Outcaste is NOT being discontinued! We are still hard at work, this is just a temporary setback! once everything settles down, we will be back to active development.

how do you get started making a fanventure?
this is a great question!
the two big things youre gonna want to to get started with are to think of a story you want to tell, and characters you want to tell a story with. it doesnt even have to be in that order, Outcaste started with us just deciding to make some new fantrolls one day, and now we have a story i estimate will take about 7-8 acts (not counting intermissions)! much like anything else you can tell a story with, MSPFA is a medium. there are elements of learning some HTML and CSS tricks, which you can find helpful guides for on the site itself, but before you get into any of that id say that you should have a story youd want to tell with this as your medium! -Ruby It's also important to make sure you have the tools to make things easier on yourself! MSPFA has an official discord community that, while we don't use it often, has lots of resources at your disposal. Homestuck.net is basically your one-stop-shop for Homestuck assets, whether you're talking about sprite rips or tutorials. I typically use Photoshop for art and an, ahem, found version of Adobe Animate for flashes, but my cowriters use different tools. Krita is very similar to Photoshop but it's free, but you can also just use MS Paint! There's no minimum bar to clear for making a fanventure! Just have fun with the story you want to tell! Doing it with friends is also a great way to keep things more structured and motivated. -Eden

Hehe, ah yes, Outcaste, love of my life. I haven't actually done a ton of dialogue/text writing that's been published yet (my characters haven't really shown up.) MSPFA is down but you can still read it with a direct link!
So go ahead and please read it! We're starting to ramp up for the end of Act 1! I have been doing a lot of behind the scenes/promo art for it, so here's a few examples of that because I'm proud of these.
