i sometimes like characters that fucking suck. when a character is a shit head in just the right way it can be so funny and/or compelling. like this is my beloved character, Asshole The Hater. they suck and i love them. someone dropped them into a ditch on the side of the road and i picked them out of the ditch and put them in my pocket

i don't have new words to share this week so i'm going to do this for sentences sunday as well! thank you @rewritetheending

rules: talk about something creative you're working on of any kind.🚦 green: what is it about, what excited you about it, what sparked the idea? orange: slow down and share something from it: a photo, a few words, some more background info etc. red: what is the roadblock currently? what is one thing that is a necessary evil in making it?

green: my big writing project at the moment is a malex (michael guerin/alex manes, roswell new mexico) pretty woman au. i LOVE this movie, like SO SO much. i was complaining to @bigassbowlingballhead that i couldn't find a malex fic with a very specific set of criteria i was looking for, and he goes, well why don't you write a pretty woman au for them? and then i thought about michael in vivian's outfit from her first scene and nearly passed out and the rest is history.

orange: here's a bit of piano smut 😏

Michael whines when Alex runs his hand from the base of his throat down the center of his body, arching into his touch. Alex lets his hand rest low on Michael’s belly, and Michael arches up further into him until his cock brushes against the sensitive skin of Alex’s wrist. Alex clicks his tongue and watches, awed, as Michael lowers himself back down. “You’re so good for me, aren’t you,” Alex murmurs. “Please, Alex” Michael whines, barely audible, just a whisper. Alex would give him anything.

red: my biggest roadblock currently is that i'm just busy af at present with very little free time and next to no available brainpower when i do. it's been several weeks since i've gotten any good writing time in. but i'm hopeful i can get in a good groove again soon when work slows down in a couple of weeks.

i'm also a little stuck on the climax/conflict (which isn't really my strongest skill set in writing anyway). i've never written a movie au or anything like this really so i'm very excited but its challenging to try to work within canon AND a whole separate source of canon/plot. i'm reading a nonfiction book about writing (very very slowly) that i'm using to help me figure some bits out, so i'm hopeful i'll get it sorted and make it as good as I want it to be.

since i love to yap, i'll also share that my other big fandom project is recording two hockey podfics for fandom trumps hate. i still need to do some research for one, and find time to record, and then edit, and hopefully make cover graphics too, so it will be a while, but i'm excited! i haven't done a podfic in a long time and they are really fun to do since its a different skill set than writing. maybe if these go well i'll finally record my southern tknp fic 🥰
