SEVERANCE 2.10 — Cold Harbor
Really clever of the Severance writers to make Lumon so religious. You watch it and you're like "this is so fucking impractical, no office with this tech would be designed like this" and then the show shows you some weird are painting or a guy says something unhinged staring into the middle distance and you're like "oh right this is a centuries-old cult run by devout billionaires who happen to also own office buildings. Carry on."
This desk used to have four seats. Our friend Irving is gone, and they want our whole department gone. If he gets out, we're dead. They're gonna turn us off like fucking machines. You've seen them do it. I know you've lost friends, too. And you could be next. You could be next. They give us half a life and think we won't fight for it.
Severance (2022-) 2.10 - Cold Harbor dir. Ben Stiller
You're a dog. A stranger comes to your apartment when you're left alone, but you recognise his scent. Your friend smelt like the stranger many times when he came home from work, so you stay calm. After some time, your friend comes back. They take you on a car ride. The weather is nice. Later, you're watching your friend talk with the stranger, and then he takes you on a train ride. Your friend seems sad but happy. It's probably the happiest you've seen him. It was a good day.
