Did you feel settled into your career by 25?

God no at 25. No at 30. No at 35. Maybe???? At 40?

But at 25 I felt more secure in who I was. At 30 I felt more secure in who I was as a mother. At 35 I felt secure when I made the wrong choice to own it and the world didn’t end. At 40 I feel secure saying fuck it. This wasn’t working. I am going to do this instead.

I may never feel settled into my career. But every year I feel more settled into who I am as a person. And that feels much more important to me.

Be prepared to get comments like "Your hair is so pretty. You wrote her hair so pretty. Why is she so pretty?" And "Your writing is so good. I can really tell what he's saying and oh he smells so nice. That's a cool looking bag. Your beta has awesome shoes I bet. What's her name?"

Let the endless compliment cycle begin.

I’m so into this

lowkey this feels like it was ghostwritten by @justleaveacommentfest

I'm down. Let's go.

This is how I aspire all my comments to feel!!! I take the job of commenting hype woman seriously!

what if instead of having a fake name for internet personal-life purposes we could have a fake name for professional work-life purposes

fantasy culture where you have a different name for every role in your life and a true name that is extremely secret

you don't get to know all of me

it's tuesday you only get to know sara

you understand me to my soul

Honestly all the notes on this have been so good, here's a few of my favorites

My fake work name is Professor Jane Norbert. Because it is plain enough to go in noticed. But fun enough you would expect me to teach dressed like Ms Frizz everyone’s hero. And yes I would have a golden retriever as my class pet. Can professors have class pets? I feel like my office would be enhanced by golden retrievers. Would definitely diffuse the tension of today!!!!

8)Light beam by Startanewdream Chapters: 2/2 Summary: ‘Dad, hypothetically… what would you have done if Mum was Sirius’ sister?’

Ummmm excuse me @desipotterhead18 how did I end up on this list of fantastic amazing writers!!!!!! Beyond flattered and humbled by the inclusion!

Fuck they even got the age right….. hahaha….. we laugh until we stop crying right?

My dad tried to claim “economics, man, just can’t predict these things”

And I had to be like … well actually. You remember in August I said a vote for trump would ruin all of our lives? And it wasn’t hyperbole? And I sat down and walked you through the economic framework for exactly how his campaign promises plus Heritage foundation project 2025 would destroy the country / economy…. And you said yeah but I don’t trust the woman to be steady and a leader and be qualified….to your daughter finishing her doctorate in business….

Yeah…. Absolutely no way economics could predict the world’s most predictable, unnecessary, you broke it we are stuck with it, non problem problem, in the history of man kind……

No harbinger for this at all….

They really did kill Cassandra first because she feared the worst.

I am not bound by the results of this poll, but I am curious what people would be interested to read once Selcouth is done. Descriptions down below.

Hunger Games Hinny AU: Harry Potter knew how the Hunger Games could tear a family apart. After all, his own dad died seventeen years prior when his mum was pregnant with him and his mother died of a broken heart not long after. So when Ginny and Ron are reaped for District 12 to participate in the annual games, Harry can’t watch the Weasley be family torn. Volunteering for Ron, Harry joins his long term crush with only one mission on his mind: make sure Ginny wins. After meeting district drunk and mentor, Sirius Black, Harry uncovers there’s a lot about his dad’s game that he never knew.

Triwizard Tournament Hinny AU: After his parents’ death, Harry Potter moved to France with his godfather and lived a normal childhood. After the success of the Triwizard Tournament three years prior, Harry decides he wants to travel to England for this year’s tournament and secures the spot as Beauxbatons’ champion. Harry finds himself competing against Ginny Weasley. Unfortunately for him, he can’t stop staring at the competition.

Hijacked Harry AU: Harry Potter was abducted by Death Eaters when they stormed the castle at the end of his sixth year. When Ginny finally gets him back, she finds herself pinned to the wall with a wand digging into her throat. There was no love, only malice. Ginny has no idea what happened to Harry in captivity.

Synodic Series Featuring PTA Mums: With Harry and Maia both in primary school, Sirius finds himself with too much time on his hands. Or at least that’s what Marlene says when he starts talking about smelling a familiar rat scent around town. What does Sirius do? He joins the PTA with Molly, of course. All the PTA mothers are nasty and rude to Molly while Laso restlessly trying to cheat on their husbands with Sirius. Sirius finds himself drawing closer and closer to Molly since she’s the only sane one of the bunch. Before long, Sirius and Molly become best friends and become unofficial rat catchers and detectives around Ottery St. Catchpole.

Yall. If you liked Sica. If you liked Ashley the coin collected. If you like Mel. If you loved to hate Dr Reynolds do we have some psychotically perky 1980s villainesses for you! The true love story of Synodic is how Molly and Sirius went from not being able to stand, to tolerating, to becoming the HARDEST ride or dies!!!!!

Whelve Update!

Did I fool any of you yesterday? Did you really think I was hanging up my Hinny hat for an Everlark hat???

Anyway, I have half the reviews responded to, but then I started getting a "retry later" error. So, if I didn't respond to your review yet, I will try again this afternoon.

As always, drop a review and you may want to grab a box of tissues before you start.

This really is a beautiful chapter. Well done @seriouslysam8

Senator Booker

I watched Senator Booker break the fillabuster that Senator Strom Thurmond set to stand against the civil rights act.

He spoke for over 24 hours to say TRUMP IS WRONG. Our constitution is worth fighting for.

Watching this tremendous moment live. Watching this black man, who I have campaigned and advocated for. Watching him break that record. To stand up and say what is happening in our country is WRONG.

And his tremendous moment. He spoke about forgiveness. He spoke about love. He spoke about NOT HATING! the other side.

WE NEED TO STAND FOR LOVE. NOT BILLIONAIRES

Oh, just wait until you read the next couple of chapters of Whelve. I don't think you know what heartbreak is yet. 😈😈😈

Also, on a different note, when I finish Selcouth (because that will be finished before Whelve), you guys have NO idea what is coming down the pipeline next. @justalittleconfusing is obsessed.

Alysha Newman, Canada

This is freaking amazing.

I was stuck running long distance track in high school (you run 12 times in a big circle) and I would watch people do really cool shit like hurdles, pole vault, long jumps. Man! I wanted to do all that. Instead I just ran in circles.
