This time last year was my first HL post and their isn’t anyone more surprised than me at the volume and directions my drawings has taken 😅 a little bit about that under the cut but otherwise wishing thanks for all the amazing support and follows and hope you keep enjoying the tumblring.

Fun fact: In this movie, Ryan Gosling's character's name is Sebastian, and the writer and director's name is Damien. 😊

Excerpt of the Day // Revised Ch. 38: "In the Shadow of the Relic"

Author's Note: I had a burst of inspiration last night and stayed up most of the night rewriting this chapter. I felt just as possessed as Sebastian, not gonna lie. Enjoy? 😅

Then, without warning, Sebastian's left hand jerked forward - totally unnatural, as if pulled by invisible strings. It hung suspended mid-air, trembling, possessed by something that was... not him. Sebastian could only watch, frozen in place, as his own fingers curled slowly inward and began their descent. Toward his pocket. Toward it. The relic. 

“No,” he whispered, breathless, his throat painfully dry.

His body didn't listen. 

Instead, his hand closed around the relic with a deliberate, eerie finality. Dread pummeled him like a sickness. He didn’t choose this. He didn’t want this.

And yet: there it was. The relic. In his palm. Warm. Pulsing.

The buzzing in his head transformed into whispers; they bled through his mind like fog under a door. They curled through his ears and into his mind, silk and poison, all at once.

There you are, they murmured. We’ve missed you. You are ours.

Let us in.

That last line gave me SHIVERS
