TINY TABLE MARCH MADNESS

In honor of Tiny Table reaching its 1 year anniversary, we are hosting our first ever Tiny Table March Madness! We'll be pitting all our PC's against each other to see who is Tumblr's favorite Tiny Table PC.

This post will serve as the masterpost with links to the individual polls that we will update after every round.

The polls will be up for a week before moving on to the next round! Vote for your favorite!! Campaign for your favorites, just make sure to put it in the body of the text so we can reblog to spread your agenda.

And of course, spoiler alert for all our campaigns up to A Fool's Errand!

FINAL ROUND:

The more I listen to @tinytablepodcast the more I'm impressed with the audio work - usually backing music causes me a lot of audio processing issues, and audiobooks with overlaid music are generally hell for me, but however they do it, whether it's a matter of balancing, or getting it layered correctly, or what, the music actually feels really good. I like the generic guitar track under a lot of the podcast, and the Foley work always feels like it's in just the right place. I know Skyler has said in a Q&A that the underlying music is partially to cover the silences from editing, but I think it really adds to the feel of a lot of the games - I'm listening to the Yeld game right now and it really helps with the tenor and feel of the game, same with the kids on bikes game.

Overall highly recommend, I think the core concept of the podcast is a great one (expose more people to non-DnD games and review smaller games), and I'm excited to see what they pick next (would love to see beam saber get a showing but I think that beam saber kind of necessitates a longer game than just a one-shot, if only because mechanics like the drive clock and cut loose really don't work with a one-shot).

Woah thank you so much! Skyler puts a lot of work into all the original music and foley so it's wonderful to see it recognized. We hope you'll enjoy all our future campaigns too!!

A lot of fantasy goes with Tolkien explanation of fantasy racism being the result of ancestral grudge.

Then you got Dungeon Meshi which is like:

"Elves and Dwarves hate each other because their respective empires make up 2/3 of the imperial core and are stuck in a cold war as the planet runs out of uncolonized land to grab. Elves are able to live in pastoral paradise because they've horded most of the settings farm-able land and natural capital, displacing and mass murdering any natives in the process. Orcs and goblins are hostile to other races because there the primary targets of an ongoing slavery and genocide campaign. The dividing line between human and inhuman is arbitrarily assigned via a phrenological pseudo-science that quickly falls apart when questioned by anyone who wasn't indoctrinated into it since birth."

How can *you* support Tiny Table?

Smallest Salutations! Tiny Table is a passion project of ours born out of the anger we felt with how a *certain* company handled an OGL ... not naming names... and Holly's passionate pitch to wrangle her friends into doing a podcast with her. On Tiny Table, we teach, play, and review TTRPG systems so you can play too! So who are we and what are our roles? Julian (she/her) is our fantastic DM who runs every game and does every rules writeup. Neo (they/him) does all the art! Every album cover and character art is designed and illustrated by them. Skyler (he/they) is our editor and composer. Yeah all the music? Original works by Skyler!! Holly (they/she) is our producer and social media person (hi lol) keeping it all on track so you guys have wonderful episodes to listen to and fun content.

Tiny Table is made out of love and is fully supported by our wonderful listeners. If you want to support us please check out our Patreon!

For just $5 a month (less than a coffee...damn coffees are getting expensive) you get access to the mp3 files of Skyler's original music, Patreon exclusive art of NPCS, and polls to vote on the monthly NPC art and what games we play.

For just $10 a month (less expensive than a too fancy pizza slice that you didn't realize was so expensive until you got to the register and were too awkward to say 'oh never mind'...okay maybe that's not a universal experience) you get all of that AND access to Side Table, our monthly bonus episode.

But hey, the economy is shit right now so if you can't afford any of that we have a $3 support tier as well and if you *really* have no extra room in the budget just listening to our episodes means the world to us. Thank you for all the support we've received so far this year and remember: you're always welcome at our table!

Want to see art of your favorite Tiny Table NPC?

Well you can! For just $5 a month on our Mini Tier on Patreon you can suggest and vote for your favorite NPC to be drawn by Neo every month. Just $5 for custom art of your fave, along with polls on what we play and Skyler's original music every month? That's a steal! It's less than an iced oat milk latte made by a hot bisexual barista!!

We hope you consider supporting us and our art as we try to teach and promote new ttrpg systems!

Art above is from Tiny Table's game of Eureka where we played FORIVA: The Angel Game

Tiny Table Plays The Yawhg!

Join us on our patreon as a micro tier member to see our play through of The Yawhg by Emily Carroll and Damien Sommer. This game has a special place in our hearts as it was actually the first ttrpg the four of us ever played together!! We ever found some endings we had NEVER seen before. Join here or buy the episode!

Tiny Tome: A Fool's Errand

Smallest Salutations and Welcome to our first foray into Tiny Tome! In today's suped up episode we will be tackling the rules breakdown, actual play, and post mortem of A Fool's Errand. Gather round and watch as Mama Un (Holly), Deux-Deux (Skyler), Manager Trois (Julian) and Quatre the Kitty (Neo) try to save their beloved King Lyric from humiliation in his own court. Will our "Quadriboulet" be able to foil the plot or will it turn out to be…foolproof? Mama Un puts on a show. Deux-Deux discovers indie music. Manager Trois has a clerical error. Quatre the Kitty nearly runs out of a puns.

Tiny Table Q&A: The Magical Land of Yeld

Smallest Salutations and welcome Jake (they/them) and Nick (he/him) to our Tiny Table! It’s our pleasure to present part one of our interview with the team behind The Magical Land of Yeld! Listen as we discuss Yeld’s focus on childhood, comic-book instructions, original dice system, and rich lore! Check out our Patreon for part two of the interview!
