Honestly, it's really hard to choose a favorite kiss, because they all are spectacular for different reasons. Some are passionate, some are angsty, some are heartwarming. But this very first kiss outside the Featherington gardens never fails to give me chills as soon as the music starts, even though I've seen the scene a thousand times. The way Colin is gentle, his hand reaching slowly to graze her cheek, and how Penelope almost leans away, hardly believing he is going through with it. How they lean in in tandem, meeting in just the briefest touch.
And then, despite the chaste nature of the initial brush of lips, they sink into it for more, again and again. The way Colin's brow furrows as he gets lost in it. The soft sounds in between breaths. The way Colin leans in to touch his forehead to hers, and just when he's about to go in again, she thanks him and runs away, leaving him utterly ruined.
It's such an apt representation of their relationship to this point, showing whereas Penelope was aiming for this kiss as a farewell, expecting she would remain a spinster, or at least unlikely to find a match this season, and she had resigned herself to that fate, Colin is awestruck, and finally gets a glimpse of everything he had been missing before that moment. The tables have fully turned, and it's so damn satisfying.
It's easily one of my favorite first kisses in any media I've watched, and it may actually be the top. I might have to reflect on that more when I'm more removed from Bridgerton, because I currently harbor a pretty significant bias. Either way, it's top tier, in a season full of truly unmatched chemistry. I cannot get enough. 💛

Polin Week Day Three - Favourite Dance
My favourite Polin dance is at the Mondrich's Botanical Ball in S3E6. I feel that the choreography really contributed to the storytelling in this scene.
Pen and Colin are engaged and dancing. But they keep tripping and making mistakes. The choreography is telling us that they are not in sync, their relationship has some upcoming conflict and bumps in the road.
But they do their signature double twirl from the church, showing their deep and lifelong love for each other will bring them back to happier times in the end.
