A Webcomic by Atomic Jelly Cat

Sci-fi comedy about a girl and her unglamorous life as a con-man's daughter and her weird robotic extended family.

This is a project I have been working on in private since 2017, and began uploading pages of it to Webtoon since March 2022 and now I'm gonna start uploading em' here bit by bit.

Be warned, since this is a project two years in the making (and more to go) the quality and formatting isn't the best at the beginning. But I do find my footing as it goes on, and I appreciate your patience!

Original comic description from webtoons:

Mari Stottlmeyer, the child of a wanted conman with no real home, was on the run again. This time, however, was different. The will of her estranged Uncle had found them, and she has inherited his legacy: 5 just-as-strange-as-he robots in a giant mechanical manor. While her father tries to spin this strange circumstance into a get rich quick scheme, Mari is realizing there’s something horribly wrong with the little rainy town of Arcane reach, and a darkness surrounding her uncles' untimely death

Current Jan 2025 update:

Comic is currently on hiatus and will continue to be on it for a bit here. I'm currently working through a shitton of burnout + I need to rewrite the story at large so the future chapters all make sense and feel cohesive. Idk when production will be back on, but it will eventually

Almost 2 months of mine to make this. I wanted to try produce an animated story by my self, but oh boy did it a shit ton of work.

Music from the game obviously. I separated vocals and instruments of some songs, but it's hard to have the result that I want (ㅠ﹏ㅠ)

Normally I don't post my longer video on here, but eh, it's short enough, so... ¯\_ (ᵕ—ᴗ—)_/¯

There’s still more to the story—I'll see if I can continue the project. Any feedback or help is welcome!

ANNIE!!!!!! THE BEAGLE!!!

I realized I hadn't made an official showcase of the best girl yet, but we just got our new pup!

Her name is Annie, she's a lovely little beagle, 3 years old and such a sweetheart. She's incredibly sweet, calm, and surprisingly quiet. (Tho she defo awoos when my husband comes home, but we're all excited when that happens)

She's came from a bit of a bad situation that the people we got her from pulled her out of. Apparently she was just on a tie out 24/7 with not much else.

The family that took her were related to the original owner and wanted to give her a better life but had a toddler so they put out a listing and we just fell in love.

So shes got some adjusting to do, and teaching her to stop trying to dominate kiba is the big thing, but she's incredibly sharp and catching on quick. She knows her name and is already after a few days being nicer to Kiba, and he's starting to grow more comfortable with her too.

She seems comfortable here and we absolutely adore her, we're so happy to be able to give her a forever home. She's perfect for our little fam❤️

"Soul mate" story where the first thing your soul mate says to you is tattooed on your hand (or their name, or whatever indicator you want, it doesn't matter) except the pairings don't indicate compatibility at all. People seem to just be like. Randomly paired up. Traditionalists insist that marriage is for tattoo-defined soul mates but for most people in the modern world meeting your tattoo buddy is like "oh hey, it's you! That's neat!"

The careers of multiple scientists are fuelled entirely by trying to figure out what the tattoos actually indicate.

They need to invent more fake celebrities like Hatsune Miku and Gorillaz and the Muppets because it's genuinely the most sustainable way to maintain a parasocial relationship with the entertainer class.

Kermit the Frog can never get canceled because Kermit the Frog has no agency or personhood beyond what he is imbued with by the collective labor of puppeteers, voice actors, singers, and writers. He is, along with these other examples, effectively a celebrity by gestalt. He has transcended the inherit instability of the celebrity class through diffusion of responsibility for his personhood. He is a god.
