Anti perfectionism

When I just stopped believing that there was something so inherently flawed with who I am and stopped trying so hard to fix myself and everything around me...there was finally enough room to start truly loving myself.

Perfectionism can show up at any age, in any context, and for any reason! But there are core features of Perfectionism that never change: Perfectionism is always about having unrealistically high expectations of yourself that are ultimately unattainable, which causes burnout and exhaustion. You try and try but never get to the finish line. Perfectionism is the enemy of self-love, trust, and confidence because you become your worst critic, judging your every move, mistake, or flaw.

Perfectionism is about high expectations of yourself with little room for grace, compassion, or flexibility. As you work on breaking the vicious cycle of Perfectionism, consider giving yourself permission for things that feed into it. Remember not only these are ways to break from perfectionism, but they are also necessary steps for self-love, compassion, and inner peace.
