General eating schedule. However, breastfed babies drink 1-1.5 oz per hour. A 19-36 oz day is normal range. That being said, 7, 3oz bottles in a day instead of the 5-6 oz bottles shown here is normal. Even at 10 months, my child drinks 2-3 oz every 2-3 hours and will consume approx 21oz in a 24 hr period; also eating solids since 4 months of age. If you need or want your direct breastfed baby to ever take a bottle, offering a bottle consistently helps to prevent any bottle refusal in the future.

A snack bottle was my solution for offering a bottle consistently and easily!

Bottle feeding is a skill! And if we don’t work on it, it can be really hard for baby to master later on. It’s not the same as breastfeeding, so it’s not expected for those skills from breastfeeding to just translate to bottle feeding. We do need to work on those skills with consistent practice!

⭐️My typical recommendations:
▫️start bottle between 3-4 weeks of age is good OR as soon as nursing is feeling well-established
▫️offer a bottle at least every other day is most ideal!

Now, these recommendations may s Small Freezer, Do Less, Breastfed Baby, Feeling Well, Bottle Feeding, Working On It, Mess Up, Early Morning, New Mom
