Rameesha shoaib :) on Instagram: "Here’s how to prep your canvas before painting 🎨 👉 Spray a moderate amount of water on the backside of the canvas. Let it dry. 👉 Apply gesso in layers. Let one layer dry before applying the next. I give it 3 layers but you can apply however many you need. 👉 Sand it down using any rough sponge to remove dirt particles. Benefits: 1. Makes the application of paint smoother. 2. Gives a good base to work on. Just like prepping your skin with primer before makeup. 3. Tightens up the canvas paper and makes it sturdy.
